Benetton names Andrea Incontri as creative director

Benetton Group has named Andrea Incontri as the new creative director of United Colors of Benetton.

Incontri previously worked as a creative director for luxury brand Tod’s and launched his own menswear and womenswear label in 2017.

Massimo Renon, chief executive of Benetton Group, said: “We take great pride in the fact that Andrea Incontri is joining the large Benetton ‘family’ because in him we have recognised the will, enthusiasm and research that will enable exceeding the goals that characterized the birth and history of our brand.”

Incontri added: “I am very honoured to join Benetton. It is a company, a brand, a creative and product philosophy whose story has great meaning both to my personal and professional training and to the history of Italy as a whole, and not just in the fields of industry and fashion.”

Benetton will be launching a new advertising campaign under Incontri’s artistic direction to promote United Colors of Benetton’s autumn/winter collection. The first collection to be designed by Incontri will be summer 2023 which will be unveiled in September at Milan Fashion Week.
