All remaining Quiz stores to close by June
The administrators for Quiz Clothing have announced that a phased closure plan will be implemented in the coming weeks, with all stores expected to be shuttered by June.
While three stores in CastleCourt, Leeds and Romford have already closed, the remaining 37 continue to trade, although the timing of further closures has yet to be confirmed.
Subscribe to TRBThe administrators said all remaining stock is being delivered to open stores, where it is selling quickly. Discounts of at least 60% are being offered across all items, including dresses, footwear and accessories.
Alistair McAlinden, head of Interpath in Scotland and joint administrator, said: “As we head into the May Bank Holiday weekend, we would encourage shoppers to visit their local store as we commence our final closing down sale.”
Geoff Jacobs, managing director at Interpath and joint administrator, said: “We’d once again like to say a huge thank you to Quiz staff who have shown such dedication and professionalism under difficult circumstances.”
Quiz entered administration in February after experiencing challenging trading conditions, including during the key Christmas trading period. The retailer said it had also been impacted by rising cost pressures, including higher business rates and increases in employment costs.
