Administrators to Quiz step up clearance discounting in all stores

Administrators to Quiz Clothing have announced that additional clearance discounting is now underway in all stores.

The retailer entered administration last week after struggling against challenging trading conditions. The move resulted in more than 100 redundancies. across the Quiz head office in Glasgow and distribution centre in Bellshill in Lanarkshire.

While Quiz’s online shop has closed, administrators from Interpath are continuing to trade all 40 stores and concessions while they seek a buyer.

Giving an update on the progress of the administration, Alistair McAlinden, head of Interpath in Scotland and joint administrator, said: “Since our appointment on 5 February, trading across the Quiz store portfolio has been extremely positive.

“We’d like to advise customers that all 40 stores remain open, and we will now be commencing additional clearance discounts across all remaining stock.”

Geoff Jacobs, managing director at Interpath and joint administrator, added: “We also urge any remaining parties with an interest in acquiring the stock, store operations and infrastructure of Quiz to contact us as soon as possible.”
