Quiz hails ‘strong start’ to festive trading period

Quiz has made a “strong start” in the countdown to Christmas with like-for-like sales rising by 6% following the  introduction of its biggest party collection to date.

The range includes 250 women’s clothing and accessories options in sizes up to UK 22.

The retailer said some of the most popular items have included longer length midi and maxi dresses with mesh, satin and velvet fabrics.

Meanwhile, Quiz’s sales data has identified Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and London as the cities leading early demand for partywear where the average basket value is £60.

Sheraz Ramzan, chief executive of Quiz Clothing, said: “Quiz is renowned for its accessible partywear, and the 2025 Party Collection has had a great response from Quiz consumers.

“We have experienced a significant sales rise driven by demand for items featuring fashion-forward mesh, satin and velvet styles in black, bottle green and brown colours.

“Notably on footwear and accessories gold has overtaken silver as the metallic of choice, due largely to its ability to pair with the many brown, berry and green tones coming through on dresses.”

Quiz currently operates from 40 stores in the UK and through a network of UK and international franchise and online partners.
