JD Sports non-executive director steps down

JD Sports has announced that Heather Jackson has stepped down as a non-executive director after more than six years on its board.

Currently a non-executive director of Lookers Motor Group, Rothesay Life, Skipton Building Society and Ikano Bank, Jackson previously held chief information officer and chief operating officer roles at HBOS/Lloyds Bank and other senior positions at Capital One, Boots and George at Asda.

Peter Cowgill, JD Sports executive chairman, said: “I would like to thank Heather for her valuable contribution to the board throughout the last six years. During that period, the company has developed considerably to become one of the UK’s prominent global retailers. I wish her all the best for the future.”
