Columbia names Jim Beeman vice president of US sales
Outdoor retailer Columbia Sportswear Company has hired Jim Beeman as vice president of US sales for the Columbia brand.
Beeman has previously worked with Nike where he was vice president and general manager, JD Sports/Finish Line.
In his new position, he will report to Tim Sheerin who is senior vice president, global wholesale for the Columbia brand. Columbia said Beeman will bring a wealth of experience in US wholesale which is a core business for the brand.
Sheerin said: “Jim has led multiple teams at Nike and driven significant growth in support of large integrated wholesale partnerships, driven category brand marketing and retail brand marketing, as well as territory-based teams across wholesale, digital and direct.”
Joe Boyle, president of the Columbia brand, added: “We could not be happier to have a leader of Jim’s calibre join Columbia Sportswear. We’re excited to have his energy and enthusiasm for the outdoor industry at the Columbia brand.”
