Adidas plans more than 2,800 new hires in 2022

Adidas is planning to make 2,800 new hires in 2022 with a big chunk of the jobs being created in retail stores.

The sportswear giant said the jobs will span 307 locations in 47 countries. In addition, further positions will be advertised in the course of the year. This will involve backfilling vacancies and building up new jobs. More than 800 of the new hires will be in Germany.

While more than 900 people will be required in retail stores, there will be 500 positions in the areas of digital, IT and data and analytics. The company is also continuing to hire for sustainability roles after already doubling the number of jobs in this area last year.

In addition, Adidas is creating more than 50 positions for apprenticeships or dual studies in Germany from the autumn.

Amanda Rajkumar, the Adidas executive board member with responsibility for HR, people and culture, said: “We want to set standards as an employer. Adidas is an employer like no other, and we go above and beyond every day to create an attractive working environment for our employees. Adidas is fantastic, and I can only encourage those interested to apply.”
