PUMA hires ex-Nike exec Marcia Dos Santos to head up core division
Sportswear brand PUMA has appointed Marcia Dos Santos to the newly created role of vice president of BU Core.
The move follows the company’s creation of dedicated teams for its Sportstyle and Core businesses as part of its ongoing transformation.
Subscribe to TRBDue to take up her position on 15 July, Dos Santos has been working for the last 20 years with Nike, most recently as vice president of merchandising women’s EMEA.
At PUMA, she will report directly to Maria Valdes, chief brand officer.
Valdes said: “Throughout her career, Marcia has delivered strong commercial results across regions and product categories for women, men and kids, demonstrating outstanding go-to-market and merchandising skills.
“With her broad industry experience, strong commercial track record and ability to build successful teams, she is the right leader to take our Core business, PUMA’s commercial engine, to the next level.”
In May, PUMA announced the appointment of former Douglas Group CFO Mark Langer as chief financial officer.
