Shopping centre owner British Land has appointed Halfords chief financial officer Loraine Woodhouse as a non-executive director.

Due to take up her role on 1 March, Woodhouse will chair the audit committee from 31 March at which time Preben Prebensen will step down from his role as interim chair of audit but remain a member of the committee.

Woodhouse has worked with Halfords since  November 2018. Prior to that, she spent five years in senior finance roles within the John Lewis Partnership which included acting group finance director and finance director of Waitrose.
