[Report] Navigating the New Normal: the Rising Importance of a High-Class Digital Customer Experience

More than half of UK shoppers would switch to a competitor if the digital customer experience doesn’t measure up

With the retail sector facing some of its biggest challenges ever, exclusive new Nuxeo research shows how – as the industry transitions to even more of a digital model – delivering exceptional digital customer experiences and personalisation are integral to inspiring loyalty.

Nuxeo asked UK consumers about the factors that would influence their retail and brand choices. This research, conducted by Censuswide, surveyed more than 2,000 UK consumers over the age of 16.

Other key findings from the research include:

  • 45% of respondents said that images are really important to them when shopping online
  • Almost one-quarter (24%) said that poor quality images would stop them buying.
  • 28% said that they like to have access to 360-degree images when buying products online.
  • 27% of respondents either often (21%) or always (6%) use product videos from a brand to aid their buying decision, rising to 39% of 16-24 years olds.
