JYSK celebrates “record-breaking” turnover in UK and Ireland

JYSK has announced that its turnover rose by 13.6% to a record breaking €120 million in the UK and Ireland in its 2023/2024 financial year.

The Danish furniture retailer also saw growth in customer numbers which increased by more than 20% year-on-year to a total of almost 2.5 million.

JYSK said the main drivers of sales growth were the indoor furniture, homeware and textiles categories.

Roni Tuominen, country director for JYSK UK & IRE, said: “I’m very pleased with the increased customer growth achieved during FY24, which clearly shows that our proposition and offering continues to appeal to new customers in both markets.

“Although global uncertainties and unrest continued during the financial year 2023/24 (FY24), we invested in lowering our already competitive prices on over half of our popular quality products and included even more products in our popular “Everyday Low Price” assortment. This resulted in significant increase in the number of units sold.”

During the year, JYSK opened five new stores across the region and is planning to launch eight more in Ireland in the coming year. It will also be investing in its online presence in both Ireland and the UK.
