Watsons launches over 1,600 ‘sustainable choices’ products

Health and beauty retailer Watsons has launched over 1,600 “sustainable choices” products both in-store and online.

The move is the result of close collaborations with global suppliers such as Beiersdorf, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Kao, L’Oréal, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt, Shiseido and Unilever.

Watsons said the products can be easily identified in-store and are included in a dedicated “sustainable choices” section on the retailer’s online shop.

Malina Ngai, chief executive of A.S. Watson (Asia & Europe), said: “Many customers started to rethink their priorities due to the pandemic and they’re very much aware of the impact their choices have on the environment and society. We’ve been working closely with our strategic supplier partners to offer a wide range of sustainable choices products – everything from skincare to shampoo – making it easier for customers to make purchase decisions that contribute to a better world for all.”

The leading O+O health and beauty retailer in Asia, Watsons currently operates over 8,000 stores and more than 1,500 pharmacies in 14 Asian and European markets. Its parent company A.S. Watson also owns the Superdrug and Savers retail brands in the UK.
