M&S Unveils Football advertising campaign featuring legends from the England 1966 winning team.

M&S has unveiled its latest menswear advertising campaign featuring legends from the 1966 winning England team as well as members of the current England squad.

The new print campaign reunites footballing legends Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Roger Hunt and Gordon Banks and forms part of an advertising strategy which includes advertising for the official FA suit as worn by the England team.

The campaign launches in national press on Friday 21st May, and will appear on consecutive pages.  The first ad shows one of three groups of players from the current England football squad who are shown wearing the official M&S FA suit.  The ad carries the strapline ‘Three Lions, One Tailor’.  The next page shows the second ad which brings together 1966 legends Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Roger Hunt and Gordon Banks.  Shot in the same style as the current team shot, the legends are seen wearing the latest Collezione range and the ad carries the strapline, ‘Four Legends, One Label’.
