Miniso strengthens presence in European markets with new Naples store

Miniso, the Japanese-inspired lifestyle product retailer, is continuing its expansion in Europe with a new store in Naples.

Situated at Napoli Centrale train station, the shop will benefit from access to the 50 million passengers passing through the station each year.

The new store is the third Miniso outlet to launch in Italy in less than a month following an earlier opening in Euroma 2 Mall, one of Rome’s biggest shopping centres.

Spanning 120 square meters, it stocks a range of iconic Miniso products, including popular co-branded items with names such as Marvel, Minions, We Bare Bears and more. Some 80% of items will be available in-store with prices ranging from €0.5 to €15.

Following its entry into Europe in 2018, Miniso now has a presence in over 150 locations in the region. The company is also planning to open more outlets in the UK, France, Spain and other European markets.

In France, Miniso has locations in core metro stations, including a shop at Paris Gare de Lyon which opened earlier this month. The retailer is predominantly launching stores in  busy shopping districts and transport hubs as it looks to benefit from high levels of footfall.

Miniso overseas vice president Vincent Huang said: “We are very pleased to see such rapid growth in the region. At Miniso, we are committed to bringing more of our affordable products to meet the needs and desire of consumers in Italy and other European countries.”
