Kontoor Brands appoints new chief HR officer

Kontoor Brands, the owner of Wrangler, Lee and Rock & Republic, has appointed Tammy Heller as chief human resources officer.

Heller will join the business on 29 September from Perspecta where she has served as chief human resources officer and senior vice president since 2018. Prior to that, she was vice president of global human resources at CGI and also held senior HR roles at Capital One, Freddie Mac and BearingPoint.

In her new position, she will be responsible for developing and driving Kontoor’s people strategy. In addition to fundamental HR functions, she will be tasked with leading a high-performance and growth-mindset culture, translating business strategies into actionable people plans, overseeing the company’s inclusion and diversity strategy, and elevating Kontoor as an employer of choice for top talent.

As a member of the company’s executive leadership team, she will report to Kontoor’s president, chief  executive and chair of the board, Scott Baxter.

Baxter said: “Tammy brings an extensive track record of leading dynamic talent management programs and human resources organisations. Our people and culture are our most critical assets, and we’re thrilled to add Tammy to our executive team to continue to evolve these efforts as we enter a new phase of growth.”

Heller will succeed Scott Shoener who has previously announced his intention to retire at the end of December.
