iCandy appoints purchasing manager

Pushchair brand iCandy has appointed Peter McEleney as purchasing manager.

McEleney has extensive retail sector experience after working with Dixons Carphone for over 15 years in head of category and buying lead roles. Most recently, he was head of buying and merchandising at Onogo.

As purchasing manager at iCandy, he will work closely with the company’s joint chief executives Bradley and Warren Appel, as well as with the sales, marketing and operations teams. He will also be responsible for overseeing iCandy’s purchasing strategy and the procurement and management of its full range of products and facilities buying.

iCandy managing director Martin Boyle said: “We are thrilled to welcome Peter to the expanding team at iCandy. He brings an extensive amount of knowledge and his skills and expertise will be invaluable at an incredibly exciting time for the company.”

McEleney added: “I am delighted to join iCandy at this dynamic time in the industry. I look forward to working with the team to continue to drive growth through our purchasing strategy to ensure that the company maintains a competitive edge in the market.”
