How retail teams are improving workforce planning and operational efficiency

Retail teams across the sector are continuing to adapt to rising employment costs, tighter margins and changing customer expectations.

In response, many are focusing on how to make workforce planning more efficient, consistent and easier to manage in day-to-day operations.

Rather than focusing purely on cost reduction, the emphasis is increasingly on finding practical ways to improve how labour is planned and deployed, supporting better productivity, smoother operations and a more consistent customer experience.

This includes refining how teams forecast demand, plan rotas, manage shift coverage and use available data to support quicker, more informed staffing decisions.

At a private lunch event on 14 July at The Brasserie of Light, Selfridges, London, TRB will be bringing together retail HR, operations and finance leaders for a practical, open discussion on what is working well in practice and where improvements are being made.

Rather than a formal presentation, this will be a small, informal group discussion over lunch. The aim is to share experiences, compare approaches and explore practical ideas that are helping retail teams improve workforce planning and operational performance.

Places are limited to keep the group focused and discussion-led. Retail leaders can reserve places here
