Dunelm non-exec to become customer director

Homewares retailer Dunelm has announced that Kelly Devine will be stepping down as a non-executive director of the company to take up a full-time position as customer director of Dunelm.

With the move taking effect on 5 July, Devine will join Dunelm’s executive team and will report directly to chief executive, Nick Wilkinson.

Since 2020, she has been working as president of UK & Ireland at Mastercard where she has been credited with leading substantial growth.

Dunelm said Devine will be considered non-independent with immediate effect and has stepped down as a member of the company’s audit and risk, nominations and remuneration committees.

Alison Brittain, Dunelm chair, said: “I am delighted that Kelly has agreed to join the Dunelm executive team as our customer director. Whilst she will be greatly missed around the board table, it’s fantastic to welcome her into her new role, where she will focus on pushing forward our customer proposition and working with the rest of our executive team to pursue the multiple opportunities we have to grow the business and develop our brand.”
