Waitrose makes loyalty scheme offers available on Deliveroo

Waitrose is making money saving offers available to members of its My Waitrose loyalty scheme when they shop via Deliveroo.

The supermarket said customers will be able to take advantage of hundreds of offers each year via the on-demand delivery service by linking their My Waitrose loyalty account with their Deliveroo account.

Last Christmas, Waitrose saw its total on-demand grocery orders increase by over 100% on the previous year.

Laura Burbedge, director of Waitrose Online said: “We’re getting ready for a busy on-demand shopping Christmas.  We’ve employed more partners (employees) in our shops to quickly shop for customers ordering on demand ensuring we offer them the outstanding service they expect from Waitrose.

“It’s great to be able to start rewarding our food loving, My Waitrose customers shopping on Deliveroo with offers in time for Christmas entertaining.  To start making savings, customers just need to link their My Waitrose account to their Deliveroo account.”

Waitrose began offering products on Deliveroo in September 2020 and now offers thousands of items from 260 UK stores, including fruit and vegetables, dairy, drinks, wrapping paper, bakery goods, meat, fish and poultry, party food, advent calendars, flowers and toiletries.

Suzy McClintock, VP of new verticals at Deliveroo said: “We’re proud to be strengthening our long standing partnership with Waitrose just in time for one of the busiest times of the year.”
