M&S to open biggest ever standalone food store in Godalming
M&S is to open its biggest ever standalone food store next week in Godalming, Surrey.
The retailer has also announced an expansion of its Remarkable Value range to 175 products as it looks to encourage families to do more of their weekly shop at M&S.
Due to launch on 16 July, the new store is situated on a former Homebase site and features multi-temperature areas in herbs, organic and fruit, as well as a larger in-store bakery and a new kitchen shop with homeware essentials like pots, pans and cooking utensils.
Subscribe to TRBOther in-store innovations include wider fresh produce areas, a rotisserie chicken counter, and family-friendly touches including mini trolleys for children.
The shop will offer the retailer’s full Remarkable Value range, to which M&S has added a further 29 everyday shopping-list items, including Fruit & Fibre Cereal Flakes, White Bread Finger Rolls, Pork Shoulder Steaks and Microwavable Rice.
Other products in the Remarkable Value range include items such as 100% traceable British beef mince, free-range eggs, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, and higher-welfare Oakham Gold chicken.
