Morrisons introduces new and improved terms for independent retailers
Morrisons is introducing new and improved terms for its independent retail partners as it continues to grow its convenience business.
The supermarket currently has around 1,700 Morrisons Daily stores, a large proportion of which are owned and operated by independent retailers.
From July, all independent retail partners will have the opportunity to earn up to a 6% volume rebate compared to the previous cap of 1.5%.
Morrisons has also reaffirmed its commitment to ensure that the wholesale prices offered to franchise retailers will always be lower than the retail prices in its company owned Morrisons Daily stores.
Subscribe to TRBFurthermore, partners will be able to benefit from Morrisons own brand range, including its premium The Best range, which the retailer said offers customers outstanding quality and value.
Morrisons has recently invested in its logistics network and its Swan Valley site has seen the creation of a new dedicated ambient distribution centre, which the retailer said has enhanced its ability to service its franchise customers.
This summer, Morrisons independent retailers will become the first in the sector to have access to a supermarket loyalty scheme as the Morrisons More Card begins a phased roll-out.
