Morrisons brings back cardboard boxes to checkouts

Morrisons is once again making cardboard boxes available to customers at its checkouts.

The supermarket is rolling them out nationwide after listening to shoppers who wanted a return of boxes that would otherwise have been recycled.

Morrisons said cardboard boxes have always been available at its stores for customers who ask, but they will now be more visible for those who may have forgotten their shopping bag or want to use them to store things at home.

Jen Price, customer insight director at Morrisons, said: “We’re continuing to make it easier for customers to shop with us so are really pleased to be bringing back our free cardboard boxes at the checkout as customers told us it was a much loved initiative”
