Cornish Bakery hails growth recognition
Cornish Bakery has become one of the top 10 fastest growing bakery brands in the UK according to the recent British Baker’s Bakery Market Report.
In a statement, the retailer said its designer outlet-based bakeries at Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays, Bideford’s Affinity Village Somerset’s Clark’s Village, Braintree Village and Gloucester Quays are all outperforming its competitors in the sector.
Cornish Bakery now has 54 stores across the UK and will be opening at least 10 new bakeries in the next 12 months including Caledonia Park at Gretna Green.
The retailer also said its bakeries are exceeding expectations compared to pre-pandemic levels, with coffee sales particularly strong.
Cornish Bakery founder Steve Grocutt said: “These impressive performance stats prove yet again that bakery is the new coffee shop. We are keen to increase the estate and we would like to hear from any UK-based designer outlets that would be interested in hosting one of the fastest growing, independent bakery brands in the UK.”
