Co-op opens new London store

The Co-op has a opened a new London food store in Islington following a £650,000 investment.

Situated on Holloway Road and open daily from 7am to 11pm, the shop supports 16 local jobs and runs on 100% renewable electricity.

In addition to groceries, the store will offer hot food, coffee and an in-store bakery.

Valentine Obamwonyi, Co-op area manager, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to make such a significant investment, the store has a great new look and feel – and we are looking forward to serving the community. Co-op is committed to connecting communities and making a difference locally, and our aim is to operate at the heart of local life.”
