Co-op launches ‘thank you’ initiative for members following cyber-attack

Co-op is offering customers who are members 25% off their shopping when they spend £40.

The retailer said it is making the move to thank its six and a half million members for their support during the challenging period.

Running for a week from today, the offer will be available to Co-op Group members shopping in its stores.

The announcement comes as Co-op’s 2,300 food stores return to usual trading, with all marketing activity switched back on. This has included the launch of a new national summer advertising campaign that champions the convenience retailer as a ‘one-stop-destination’ for summer food.

“We are so grateful to our member owners for their support and patience with us during what was a very difficult time and hope this gesture of appreciation goes a little way to showing them our thanks, with more value rewards to come over the summer.”
