Athletic Greens hires chief operating officer

Athletic Greens, the direct-to-consumer subscription company behind the daily nutrition product AG1, has  hired Kat Cole as president and chief operating officer.

Cole joins the company after working for ten years at Focus Brands where she held the same role. Focus is the parent company of Cinnabon, Auntie Anne’s, Moe’s, Schlotzsky’s, McAllister’s, Carvel, Seattle’s Best Coffee International and Jamba.

In her new position, she will join Athletic Greens founder and chief executive Chris Ashenden in leading the business with a focus on driving organisational scale and accelerating growth and global expansion. She will also head up efforts to extend and deepen the company brand both with daily subscribers and into an omnichannel environment that spans physical and digital.

Ashenden said: “Kat’s track record of building great businesses, leading teams, innovating, and strengthening brands will power Athletic Greens to grow and deepen relationships with our dedicated global community of AG1 customers.”
