Asda appoints vice president of own brand

Asda has appointed Charlotte Rhodes as vice president of own brand.

Until recently, Rhodes served as general manager of own brand, quality and sustainable sourcing at the Coles supermarket chain in Australia where she worked for nearly ten years.

Prior to that, she was business unit director for fresh food at Sainsbury’s where she led strategic initiatives across fresh categories.

Rachel Eyre, Asda’s chief customer officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Charlotte to Asda. Her deep expertise in brand development will be important as we strengthen our own-brand ranges to ensure they continue to deliver the quality and value that our customers expect.”
