Westfield opens permanent fashion repair studio with SOJO
Westfield is to introduce SOJO’s Fix & Fit repair and alterations service at its Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City shopping centres.
Delivered in partnership with SOJO, a B-Corp organisation, the service aims transform the way people care for their clothes by offering an accessible solution for clothing repairs and alterations.
At SOJO Fix & Fit, customers can book expert tailoring, repair, or refitting services either in-store or online. These include everything from zip replacements and trouser hems to complete alterations and bespoke customisation. Finished items can then be collected in person or delivered to customers’ doors.
Meanwhile, SOJO’s online service allows customers nationwide to book a collection, send their garments, and have them tailored or repaired and returned to their home.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Katie Wyle, director of shopping centre management, northern Europe at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: “We’re proud to be bringing SOJO to both of our centres – a move that reflects exactly what our customers are asking for: more sustainable, service-led retail experiences.
“SOJO Fix & Fit offers a smart and stylish solution to fashion longevity, perfectly aligned with Westfield’s commitment to shaping a more conscious retail future.
“With 59% of UK consumers seeking more reuse and repair options over the next five years, this partnership is both timely and essential.”
Josephine Philips, founder and chief executive of SOJO, added: “We’re thrilled to be launching SOJO Fix & Fit stores at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.
“This is all about integrating a repair culture into the very heart of shopping. Clothes deserve to be loved, worn and re-worn, and we’re making it simpler than ever for people to embrace that.”
The new service will be available from 25 June.
