Ajmal opens first European store at Westfield London

Dubai-based fragrance house Ajmal has opened its first store in Europe at Westfield London.

Founded in India in 1951 by the late Haji Ajmal Ali, the company is now led by the third generation of the Ajmal family and is known as a purveyor of fine oud, which it cultivates on a plantation of ten million agarwood trees in Assam, north-east India.

Ajmal said its “farm to fragrance” approach sets it apart in the global perfume industry. As grower, manufacturer and retailer, the company oversees the entire fragrance journey, from cultivating and sourcing ingredients through to research, development, blending and production.

The new Westfield London store offers a range of fine fragrances and concentrated perfume oils, and has been designed as a destination for scent discovery.

The opening builds on Ajmal’s recent UK ecommerce launch, part of the brand’s ambition to introduce a new generation of fragrance lovers to oud and contemporary fine fragrance.
