Wed2b launches campaign starring real customers

Bridal retailer Wed2b has launched a new campaign starring real customers as it introduces its ambassador programme.

The campaign challenges the idea of the “perfect wedding” and instead champions individuality, emotion and meaningful moments over unrealistic expectations.

Called ‘Come as you, leave feeling like you’, it features seven former Wed2b brides of different ages, backgrounds and body types as it looks to celebrate “every-day women, real love stories and the genuine moments that truly make a wedding day special”. The ambassadors’ weddings range from intimate ceremonies and budget-conscious celebrations to large family gatherings and unconventional venues.

The launch follows research conducted by Wed2b among more than 10,000 brides, which found that over half (57%) cited body confidence as a major source of anxiety when choosing a wedding dress, while 55% pointed to budget pressures as one of their biggest concerns.

Jenny Cassidy, co-founder and director at Wed2b, said: “We’ve listened to thousands of brides over the years and recently surveyed over 10,000, and one thing has become increasingly clear, women are craving authenticity.

“Weddings have become so heavily influenced by social media perfection that many brides feel pressure to look, spend and celebrate in ways that don’t actually reflect who they are.

“This campaign is about changing that narrative. We wanted to celebrate every-day women and the moments that genuinely matter, the laughter, the emotion, the nerves, the joy and the individuality behind every wedding day.”

The campaign will be shown across all Wed2b digital platforms and selected stores.
