The shop will stock Uniqlo’s signature womenswear, menswear and kidswear collections and will also offer its clothing repair, alteration and recycling services.

Alessandro Dudech, chief operating officer at Uniqlo UK, said: “As Uniqlo continues to expand across the UK, we are dedicated to selecting the best locations to be the home of our brand. Investing in Liverpool, a leading UK shopping destination was a natural next step, and Liverpool ONE was the obvious choice, given the unique opportunity to open a prominent, showstopping space on Paradise Street.”

The news follows the recent announcement that beauty brand Sephora is to take 7,500 square feet of space in a cornerstone unit at a key entrance to Liverpool ONE’s South John Street. Joining it will be the largest-ever TFG multi-brand flagship store for Hobbs, Phase Eight, Whistles and Inside Story.

Rob Deacon, director of asset management at Grosvenor, said: “Uniqlo is yet another international fashion powerhouse taking a showcase space on Liverpool ONE’s Paradise Street.

“Creating a bold, compelling hub of best-in-class international brands has long been our strategy, playing to the needs and wants of our diverse mix of domestic and international visitors, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming Uniqlo to Liverpool for the first time.”
