Ted Baker signs new franchise agreement for stores in UK

Fashion retailer Ted Baker has signed a new franchise agreement as it looks to expand its store footprint across the UK.

The contract with Aldrich Group will see the fashion franchise company aim to open a minimum of 30 new stores for Ted Baker over the next ten years.

Oliver Tookman, chief executive at Aldrich Group, said: “Ted Baker is an iconic, British brand, which complements our existing portfolio of premium franchise and own brand stores. We are excited to work tirelessly over the coming years to continue to grow Ted’s store footprint across the UK. Our attention to detail is unrivalled, with a constant eye on ensuring that we enhance the exceptional in-store experience that the brand has carefully developed over the years.”

Aldrich Group also owns and operates a number of multi-brand stores under the Robert Goddard name, which house a selection of  leading designer brands under one roof.

Helen Costello, Ted Baker group commercial and business development director, said. “We are delighted to be signing this agreement with the Aldrich Group. We know they have an excellent understanding of Ted Baker and our customers as a trusted partner. Their experience in operating designer stores means that they are particularly well placed to fully realise the growth opportunity in stores.  This partnership is consistent with our capital light approach to growth and further supports our global lifestyle brand.”
