Ralph Lauren signs exclusive licensing agreement with UK partner

Ralph Lauren Home, a division of Ralph Lauren Corporation, has signed an exclusive global license agreement for fabrics and wallcoverings with London-based Designers Guild.

The collection of premier fabrics and wallcoverings has been designed to cater to the high-end consumer and trade business.

Under the new agreement, Designers Guild will be responsible for the sales, distribution and manufacturing of Ralph Lauren Home fabric and wallcoverings, while Ralph Lauren Home will be responsible for the design and marketing.

The collection will be available at select Ralph Lauren stores across the US and Europe.

Day Kornbluth, global brand president, Ralph Lauren Home, says: “Ralph Lauren Home has enjoyed a successful relationship with Designers Guild, and I am excited to expand that relationship globally as we focus on the luxury and interior designer business. Designers Guild shares our commitment to quality and craftsmanship, and together we will offer a comprehensive collection of signature fabrics and wallcoverings that reflect Ralph Lauren’s unique design philosophy.”

Simon Jeffreys, CEO of Designers Guild, adds: “As Ralph Lauren’s partner in Europe and the Middle East since 1999, we at Designers Guild are delighted to now extend this license to the global market including the USA. We are excited about the opportunity of building on our relationship with this ubiquitous brand and are looking forward to launching fantastic new products for the worldwide interiors market.”
