Seasalt plans to open around ten new stores a year

Seasalt is planning to open around ten new stores a year from 2026, reflecting its continued confidence in physical retail.

According to The Times, the Cornish lifestyle fashion brand is in the final stages of signing for three new stores early next year and is also looking at more openings later in 2026.

Paul Hayes, chief executive of Seasalt, told The Times: “It has undoubtedly been a challenging year for the retail industry, with new challenges consistently facing our sector, and this is unlikely to change significantly as we move in to a new year,

“However, we have built a very resilient business model, particularly over the last five or six years, and we’re confident we can navigate these times and continue or growth trajectory.”

Seasalt currently has 79 stores in the UK and Ireland and is understood to be targeting market towns for future openings.

Hayes also told the newspaper that the brand sees a significant opportunity for growth in EU countries, particularly in Scandinavia and eastern Europe.
