Schuh appoints buying director

Schuh has appointed Nicola Monachello as buying director.  

Monachello will be part of Schuh’s eight-strong management team that includes the company’s managing director, Colin Temple.  

With over 15 years’ experience, she recently worked with New Look where she led the fashion retailer’s footwear strategy. Her previous experience also includes stints at Faith and Wallis.  

Temple said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Nicola to Schuh as our buying director. A proven ability with branded and private label footwear combined with her natural skill set as a great people manager gives me a fantastic new member to the Schuh leadership team.”  

Monachello will oversee the sports, children’s, fashion and own label buying teams at the company.
