Passenger opens distribution centre in Germany

Passenger, the UK based responsible outdoor clothing brand, is continuing to expand in Europe with the opening of a distribution centre in Germany.

Following an eight-month-long project in partnership with GXO, Passenger now occupies between 2,000 and 3,000 square metres of warehouse space at GXO’s site outside Düsseldorf.

This means that Passenger’s total warehouse space now spans over 10,000 square metres, including its UK site in the north of England.

The brand said the EU is its highest growth region following a year-on-year sales increase of over 180% in 2024. Countries where the brand is gaining traction include Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Passenger chief executive Jon Lane said: “We are seeing strong growth in Germany and other EU countries, so we’re excited to be able to now service our D2C and B2B customers much more efficiently, offering improved next-day and express delivery services throughout Europe.

“Opening a distribution centre closer to the markets we’re operating in doesn’t just make sense logistically, enabling us to deliver faster to customers, but from a responsibility standpoint too, reducing miles travelled for products delivered.”
