M&S expands Zalando partnership to fulfil online orders across 22 European markets
Marks & Spencer has expanded its partnership with online retailer Zalando in a move that will see Zalando’s ZEOS platform fulfil M&S’s entire online direct-to-consumer business across 22 markets in continental Europe.
M&S said the partnership will help accelerate growth in its European online business while reducing logistics costs by up to half.
Subscribe to TRBThe rollout began earlier this month with a trial in Poland, where customer demand increased by 22% and conversion improved by more than 97%.
The partnership has now expanded across Europe, including M&S’s largest online markets of France, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain.
Through ZEOS’s fulfilment network and a single stock pool, M&S said delivery times have been reduced, while delivery costs have fallen by up to 58%. Return times have also been cut from up to 35 days to eight days.
M&S first partnered with Zalando on its fulfilment solutions business (ZFS) in 2022 to support marketplace sales across Europe, with the fulfilment of orders placed through Zalando, About You and Amazon.
