Liverpool ONE kicks off 2023 with news of Hollister relocation and Gilly Hicks entry

Hollister is to relocate to a new space within the Liverpool One shopping destination which will also house a  Gilly Hicks sub-brand.

Set to open this the summer, the store will occupy a unit on South John Street where the combined space will bring the two Abercrombie & Fitch brands under the same roof for the first time in Liverpool.

Rob Deacon, senior asset manager at Grosvenor, said: “It is fantastic to see Hollister reaffirm its commitment to Liverpool ONE by moving into a newer space, as well as introducing its sub-brand, Gilly Hicks. This deal is a testament to the momentum we are continuing to build at the destination and is particularly exciting given the new space will be one of the first model stores in Europe. We look forward to seeing the store open and feel confident it will be a hit with Liverpool ONE’s visitors.”

The news follows a successful 2022 for Liverpool ONE when 36 brands, totalling over 350,000 square feet, signed, opened or renewed in the year. New and existing occupiers invested £18 million in their Liverpool ONE stores and restaurants throughout 2022, including the likes of Gravity, M&S, Tessuti, Charlotte Tilbury, Cricket, Under Armour, Bershka, Bread Street Kitchen and COSMO. The centre also saw a saw 14.5% increase of sales compared to 2019.

Chris Jukes, director of Liverpool ONE,Grosvenor, added: “I’m extremely proud of the team at Liverpool ONE; not only did we finished 2022 on a high, demonstrating incredible results, agility, and creativity in our approach, but to kick start the year announcing a new Hollister location and the introduction of Gilly Hicks, is a true testament to the great work we do. Liverpool ONE is a destination that never stands still, rather it constantly evolves, and, with both Eurovision and our 15-year anniversary gracing us this year, 2023 is sure to be another exciting year at Liverpool ONE.”

Liverpool ONE has also recently announced that premium fashion brand BOSS will be relocating and upsizing its store to Paradise Street, near to Tessuti’s new flagship store.
