Kontoor Brands announces departure of Juliana Chugg from board

Kontoor Brands has announced that Juliana Chugg will step down from its board of directors now that it has successfully delivered against its growth strategy.

The company is the business behind the Lee, Wrangler and Rock & Republic brands.

Chugg will be leaving  Kontoor on 30 November to focus on other business obligations. Previously global core brands officer at Mattel, she has served on Kontoor’s board since the company’s inception in 2019 when it spun off from VF Corporation. She has also served as chair of the nominating and governance committee and as a member of the talent and compensation committee.

Scott Baxter, chair, chief executive and president of Kontoor Brands, said: “As we transition from setting Kontoor’s strong foundation in Horizon 1 to catalysing growth in Horizon 2, we do so with recognition that Juliana’s extensive marketing, governance, and board experience have helped guide our company during a pivotal time in our journey, from our formation as a standalone company and through our initial 24 months of operations.”
