Dr. Martens appoints Justin Lee Seungoh to lead South Korea business
The Dr. Martens footwear brand has appointed Justin Lee Seungoh as general manager for South Korea as it looks to build its presence in the market.
Seungoh has more than 20 years’ experience in brand strategy, marketing and consumer engagement, having worked at Nespresso, Samsung and Unilever.
Subscribe to TRBHis career has included leadership roles in China and the UK, and he also has extensive experience of the South Korean market. Most recently, he served as head of marketing at Nespresso South Korea.
At Dr. Martens, he will lead the South Korea business and country leadership team. He will report to Mike Stopforth, the company’s chief commercial officer, and will also join the Dr. Martens leadership team.
Stopforth said: “Justin is a fantastic fit to lead our South Korean business as we build on already strong foundations in the market. He brings with him a wealth of experience both within the South Korean market, and globally, having worked for some of the world’s largest consumer and retail companies.
“South Korea is an exciting and strategically important market for Dr. Martens, and Justin’s appointment reflects our commitment to investing in both our key markets and world-class talent across the organisation.”
Earlier this month, Dr. Martens announced that it had launched a new global brand platform called ‘With Bouncing Soles’ to support its consumer-first strategy.
