Jigsaw returns to profit

Jigsaw returned to profit in the six months to October 2021.

The premium womenswear retailer said EBITDA had reached reached £1.8m between 25 April and 9 October, compared to -£5.6m in the same period in 2020, and -£0.3m in 2019.

The company said it is in a strong position following the “successful restructure” of the business, which included “significant” investments in its digital capabilities, and a redesign of stores in its portfolio.

Beth Butterwick, CEO of Jigsaw, said: “We are confident and optimistic about Jigsaw’s future, and are pleased to see Jigsaw’s improved performance and profitability. We believe we are perfectly poised for future growth as an aspirational British, premium brand, accessible across multiple channels where we know our customers like to shop.’’

The company has around 40 stores in the UK in total.
