Inditex’s Lefties signs for third UK store
Inditex’s Lefties fashion brand is to make its north east debut with a new store at Metrocentre, which will also be one of the Spanish brand’s first three UK locations.
Due to open in winter 2026, the shop will serve as a key anchor within Metrocentre’s dedicated fashion hub and will stock trend-led collections for women, men, teens, kids, baby, home, accessories and footwear.
Founded in 1999, Lefties has own headquarters just outside Barcelona and began launching its own collections around a decade ago.
Subscribe to TRBOther fashion brands with a presence at Metrocentre include Urban Outfitters, Hollister and Mango, as well as Inditex brands Stradivarius and Zara.
Metrocentre is also anchored by Flannels, Primark and M&S.
Ben Cox, director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, asset managers of Metrocentre, said: “We’re proud to confirm that Lefties are the latest exciting new entrant to commit to Metrocentre.
“As one of the first Lefties stores in the UK, this is another major endorsement of Metrocentre as a key location for international brands investing in UK retail.
“Lefties’ trend-savvy offer will be a compelling addition to our retail mix, and this signing, once again, reflects the dominance and appeal of our scheme to both national and international retailers.”
Lefties is also opening stores at Liverpool One and Lakeside.
The news comes as sales across Metrocentre’s fashion category rose by 4.8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, following a strong womenswear performance.
