Sofa Club expands north with new Newcastle Metrocentre flagship
Sofa Club opened the doors to its latest showroom in Newcastle’s Metrocentre over the Easter weekend.
The retailer said the store welcomed over 1,000 visitors, despite being closed on Easter Sunday, with sales tracking in line with forecasts.
Spanning two levels, the showroom aims to offer an elevated, immersive retail environment featuring Sofa Club’s signature blend of bold design and “laid-back comfort”, with a wide range of styles on display.

Tom O’Neil (pictured), co-founder of Sofa Club, said: “We’re really pleased with how the opening weekend went,
“The turnout was incredible, the energy in store was exactly what we hoped for, and it’s great to see customers in the Northeast connecting with the brand in person.
“We’ve always said life’s too short for average sofas, and this showroom is all about bringing that to life.”
Founded in 2012, Sofa Club also has showrooms in Hertford, Liverpool, Croydon, Lakeside and Glasgow.
