FatFace expands into Germany via Zalando

FatFace has entered the German market by launching on Zalando.

Customers in the country can now shop both womenswear and menswear ranges on the platform, including items from the brand’s premium Copper & Black womenswear collection.

FatFace reported that initial trading has been positive, with strong sales anticipated heading into the autumn. Over the coming months, the brand plans to expand its Zalando offering to include accessories and footwear.

Additionally, FatFace will use the platform to enter other European markets.

The news follows a period of strong trading for FatFace when full-price sales rose 6.6% in the first half of the year. Sales through Next Label were also strong, rising by 86% year-on-year.

Alexandra Dalwood, head of partners at FatFace, said: “Joining the Next family has given us the platform to drive growth and expand into new international markets.

“Our launch on Zalando marks an important step in building our global brand awareness, and we’re really pleased to be able to bring FatFace to a new audience on this platform in Germany.

“Early interest has been very encouraging, and we’re excited to see how our high-quality clothing resonates with Zalando’s German customers.”
