Depop to launch three-day London pop-up for top sellers

Digital fashion marketplace Depop is to launch a three-day pop-up in London’s Oxford Street as it looks to encourage more people to buy second hand and circular fashion.

The move will see four leading sellers at Depop being brought into the real world at the Sook rentable pop-up space.

Celiapops and Identityparty will be in residence on 11 and 12 November with an edit of handpicked vintage and Y2K pieces, while Imdesigns, Close Threads and Sorted Vintage will offer a range of streetwear in the space on 13 November.

The event is being brought to life through ‘Powered by Depop’, a sponsorship programme which gives sellers the tools to take their business offline and engage by hosting pop-up shopping events across the UK.

Depop seller pop-ups will be also taking place across Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham throughout November and December.

Sook’s chief executive John Hoyle said: “We’ve had multiple Depoppers use our spaces in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Southampton over the past 18 months, with many of these sellers driving huge queues of customers keen to get their hands on their one-off pieces and vintage outfits.”

“We’re delighted to work with Powered by Depop to give more sellers the opportunity to bring their products into the real world in high streets and shopping centres across the UK, allowing them to meet fans and potential new customers, and offering the perfect blend of online and offline shopping.”
