Clarks appoints chief information officer

Clarks has appointed Simon Clarke as it’s new chief information officer.
The executive joined from Italian lifestyle brand La Perla, where he also served as chief information officer.
Clarke has previously held roles at Oxford University Press, Enotria Winecellars, Kingfisher, and Mothercare.
Clarke has worked in the retail industry since 1990, when he started his career in a graduate role at Tesco.
The retailer is rebuilding its leadership team after a mass exodus following private equity firm LionRock taking over majority share of the retailer in late 2020. Clarks chair Johnny Chen, who is also vice-chair of LionRock, is running the business on an interim basis until it finds a permanent replacement chief executive.
