Burberry expands support for relief efforts in Ukraine

Burberry has announced that it is making a further commitment in supporting relief efforts in Ukraine.

Following an initial donation to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal, the luxury brand will be providing extra funding to enable the organisation to distribute more food, hygiene products, warm clothes and aid to people in need following the Russian invasion.

In response to the escalating refugee crisis, Burberry will also be donating to Save the Children and UNICEF, both of which are working to provide essential services including health, protection, education, water and sanitation to millions of children and their families who have crossed into neighbouring countries.

Burberry is also looking at other ways it can help displaced communities, including through the provision of food, shelter and warmth.

Gerry Murphy, chair of Burberry said: “We are increasing our support for charities and aid agencies providing much needed food, shelter and essential services to the millions of children and families impacted by the conflict in Ukraine. We will continue to look for ways we can help alleviate the suffering of communities caught in this appalling crisis.”
