Boohoo to open new warehouse in Daventry

Online fashion retailer Boohoo has exchanged contracts for a long-term lease on a new warehouse in Daventry.

Due to become operational in the second quarter of the retailer’s financial year, the site will support expansion and will add to capacity at Boohoo’s existing facilities in Burnley, Sheffield and Wellingborough. Boohoo said the combined sites will give it a net sales capacity in excess of £4 billion.

Due to the warehouse being scalable, the retailer is planning to invest over £50 million in the coming years.

The move is expected to create up to 500 jobs and in the future add up to a further 1,000 jobs as capacity increases at the site.
