ASOS appoints new chief financial officer

ASOS has appointed Aaron Izzard as its new chief financial officer and as an executive director.

He will join the retailer on 1 July when he will succeed Dave Murray who will remain with the company for a handover period to ensure a smooth transition.

Izzard has been working with ASOS since 2017, most recently as director of group finance. Prior to this, he held senior finance roles at Argos and Home Retail Group.

José Antonio Ramos Calamonte, ASOS chief executive, said: Now is the time to further strengthen our focus on delivering sustainable, profitable growth and better customer experiences.

“Aaron has a strong track record of delivering operational efficiency and strategic thinking which will be key to continuing our successful transformation. I am confident that his experience and skills will be a great asset as CFO in the next phase of our journey.”

Murray joined ASOS in 2024 after a career spanning finance roles at Matches Fashion, Farfetch, Amazon and Sainsbury’s.

Calamonte added: “Dave has played an important role in helping lay the foundations for the next phase of our journey, having successfully overseen our refinancing and stock reduction.

“We are a significantly stronger and more resilient business than when he joined and I would like to express my sincerest appreciation on behalf of all ASOSers.”
