Arket to open first physical store in Latvia
Arket is to open its first store in Latvia as part of its international expansion plans.
The flagship in Riga will be a modern-day market offering with collections for men, women, children and the home.
Launched in Stockholm in 2017 by Swedish H&M Group, Arket’s design philosophy is rooted in the Nordic modernist movement of the 20th century, which aimed to bridge the worlds of arts, crafts, and functional form to produce affordable and accessible items.
The store will feature a Nordic inspired Arket café with a menu led by acclaimed Swedish chef Martin Berg. This will offer a range of vegetarian food, seasonal pastries and organic speciality coffees.
Pernilla Wohlfahrt, managing director of Arket, said: “We are very happy to announce the opening of our new Riga store and to finally welcome our Latvian customers to the full Arket experience.”
